Abstract
Brodie¢¥s abscess is a localized osteomyelitis which is characterized¢¥ by a small area of bone destruction due to infection, usually spherical.
3t is usually due to staphylococci of low grade.
The metaphysic is most commonly involved, but any portion of bone may be affected.
The lesion is a localized bone cavity filled with pus or granulation or fibrous tissue.
Two or three separate localized bone cavity is not common.
We have experienced a case of separating two cavities of Brodie¢¥s abscess in the proximal part of the tibia.
There were several sandy-sized sequester with the packed granulation tissue in the cavities in which it had been exaggerated several times during a two-year period prior to admission.
